David Taylor married Olive Waldo in Mansfield CT, and had their son, Jonathan Taylor, later dubbed "General", in 1796. They later moved to Bridgewater NY, spent quite a bit of time there, and had their youngest child, Burrell Bailey Taylor, there in 1808. Moving shortly afterwards to Newark OH, the family settled in.

"General" Jonathan Taylor led the Ohio forces in the Ohio-Michigan boundary dispute and later surveyed that state boundary. After serving a some terms in both the Ohio Assembly and the Ohio Senate, he served one term as U.S. Congressmen from the district including Licking Co. OH beginning in 1838.

When more information comes in shortly, this account will be significantly expanded.
